Sudsbook

An app for cleaners and window cleaners who run their own round. It holds their customers, a diary that fills itself with repeat cleans, quotes, invoices and reviews. Each business also gets a free page in a directory.

My own product, not a client's. A simple app for cleaners and window cleaners, with a free directory where customers find them. Built, launched and run by me.

The build

Sudsbook is the one build here that's mine rather than a client's. It grew out of Norfolk Cleaners, a Facebook group I've run since 2022 for local cleaners and window cleaners. It's the same kind of system the trades on this site run. It's cut down to what one person running a round needs, and sold by the month rather than built to order.

A cleaner adds their customers once, and their regulars fill the diary from then on. Weekly, fortnightly or every few weeks. Window cleaners get a due list and a map of the round. A quote goes out as a link the customer accepts. Mark a visit done and the invoice is made. If typing the customers in puts someone off, a photo of their paper diary is read and turned into a list to check.

Every business gets a free public page with its prices, photos, questions and reviews. Reviews only come from customers the cleaner invites, and the cleaner can reply but can't remove them. Pages join a directory by trade and town. A town only goes into Google once three real cleaners cover it, so there are no empty pages pretending to be a directory. It went live in September 2026.
